Individual therapy is a form of therapy in which the client is treated on a one-on-one basis with a therapist.
In therapy we will discuss your past physical, mental, and emotional health. As well as the current concerns that have brought you to therapy.
With me you will have a safe, judgement-free zone to discuss thoughts, concerns, and goals.
In the context of Relationship Therapy we will discuss the history of your relationship, any problems you may be having, and examine what causes you the most distress between you and your partner.
Partners will learn to communicate better, confront challenges, and work to understand their partner.
My office provides a safe space for conversations which may otherwise be difficult to navigate without reverting to old negative patterns.
Family Therapy is a type of counseling that can help family members improve communication and resolve conflicts.
Goals of family therapy may be improving communication, solving family problems, understanding and handling special family situations, and creating a better functioning home environment.
In our sessions we will work to set personalized goals for you and your family.
Sex therapy is a specialized type of therapy.
Through sex therapy, you can address concerns about sexual function, sexual feelings and intimacy. Therapy may be conducted as individual therapy or as relationship therapy.
Sex therapy can be effective for individuals of any age, gender or sexual orientation
I am a sex-positive therapist. This means that I am happy to assess and, when appropriate, develop clients' capacity for sharing erotic intimacy and sensual companionship. This focus on sexuality does not come at the expense of attention to other couple therapy issues---such as basic communication---but is complementary to, that work.
Sex therapy is talk therapy.
There is no sexual contact in my office.
Therapeutic groups are limited to 10 participants.
At this time I do not offer counseling or play therapy services to children under the age of 14, however I am happy to meet with children in the context of family therapy.
