Mental Health Therapist:

We’re looking for motivated, team focused, compassionate, and ethically oriented therapists to join our team! Pam Barela Counseling provides outpatient Individual, Relationship, Family, and soon Group Therapy.

We’re interested to hire: LMFT’s, LCSW’s, LCMHC’s, fully licenced or Associate licensed therapists.

Therapist Responsibilities:

Provide outpatient therapy services to individuals, couples, families, group therapy. Diagnosis, treatment planning, and congruent interventions with high therapeutic alliance and compassion. Coordinate and collaborate with referring professionals and other paying or interested parties. Exceptional HIPAA compliance in all clinical work. Coordinate with allied and referring health professionals to provide holistic/wellness centered treatment planning, intervention, and coordination. Take digital payments and assist in coordination of billing. Coordinate and maintain own schedule. Maintain all records and communications in a professional and timely organized manner (we use Simple Practice). Maintain professionalism with all clients and colleagues. 

Provide supervision (if fully qualified) to provisionally licensed or student therapists.

Therapists should exhibit competency and proficiency in some of these areas: 

• Individual, Couple, Family, and soon Group Therapy
• Culturally informed, culturally sensitive. 
• Relationship health: Couples, premarital, and marital
• LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy
• Sexual health: Sex positive-based therapy for couples and individuals
• Problematic and out of control sexual behavior for individuals and couples
• Life direction, meaning, purpose, values-based
• Anxiety, Depression, Mood disorders
• Trauma-informed work
• Women’s empowerment, and feminist-informed therapy
• Eating disorders and eating disordered behavior, negative body image
• Substance misuse and abuse
• Performance (athletes, performance of any kind)
• Adult growth and development (college, career/vocation, mid-life, empty nest, relationships, family, personal well-being, values, individual empowerment)
• Grief and bereavement
• Child play therapy and sand tray therapy
• Any specialties and theories You have, and have a passion to bring to this practice

Set your own schedule with days and times best meeting your needs. Weekends available. Requires minimum of 2 days a week open therapy availability, with a range of different times of day available. 3+ days of availability and early evenings/evenings preferred. 

Preferred candidates and requirements:

• Licensed or Associate licensed in Oregon: Required
• Insurance paneled or ability to be insurance paneled: Required
• Ability to provide therapy fluently in English and another language: preferred

Pay: payment is structured based on completion of one hour therapy sessions, which require about 1.3 clock hours of total work.

MS LMFT, LCSW, CMHC: $60 per completed therapy session

PhD Psych, LMFT, LCSW, CMHC: $75 per 60 min session

MS with Associate license: $50 per completed therapy session

PhD with Associate license: $60 per completed therapy session

Associate licensed therapists receive twice yearly performance-based pay raises to incrementally reach licensed pay once license is accomplished.

Incentive pay: Make 3%, 6%, 9% more per session according to total completed sessions per pay period (2 weeks: 25+, 35+, 45+).

Full Time: (28+ sessions wk at 48 weeks year) Includes negotiated health insurance & 401K benefits.
